Robert “Bob” Laux is an active member of the Rotary Club of Bethel, Maine and a past member of the Rotary Club of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Bob has served his Rotary club as Club Service Chair, Board Member and President. Furthermore, he has served District 7780 as Assistant District Governor for two years. Bob also served the district as faculty to Northeast PETS and on several committees. Bob shares much of his Rotary Service with his wife, Cynthia, also an active member of the Rotary Club of Bethel, Maine. Together they received the “Distinguished Service Award” from the Rotary Foundation for their work on the “Ski Day to Eradicate Polio at Sunday River Ski Resort.” Both Bob and Cynthia are multiple Paul Harris Fellows, Benefactors and Bequest Society members of the Rotary Foundation, and Faculty to the Rotary Leadership Institute.

Bob is broker/owner of Wild River Realty, Inc. in Bethel, Maine, practicing “buyer brokerage” real estate in Maine and New Hampshire. Additionally he provides consultation and training to non-profit housing development corporations throughout the country, who server persons with disabilities. Cynthia is a consulting speech pathologist, currently contracted to the local elementary schools. Both Bob and Cynthia are actively involved in the greater Bethel community.
