Graduation Ceremony Incoming 2016-2017 Presidents

On the third evening of RYLA the students gather for their Final Camp Fire. This assembly acts as a recap and a way to prepare students for their final day at camp. Each LEG has time to do a skit about what they have learned and we talk about the values of Rotary and Leadership. We end the evening with a wonderful candlelight ceremony. All Rotarians are welcome and this is a great way to experience the impact that RYLA has on students and the communities they go back to serve.

Logistics

Date: Tuesday June 28th, 2016

Where: Camp Hinds Raymond Maine

When: Ceremony starts about 7:30—8:00 after students finish dinner.   Two options:   1 arrive about 7:00 to walk to the amphitheater and participate.   2 arrive 5:40 and join the campers for dinner in the dining hall near the water.    What to bring:  Flash light, bug spray, comfortable clothes long sleeve shirt and pants , and walking shoes.  The parking lot is about 1/2 mile from the amphitheater down a flat dirt road.  

What to Expect for PE’s:  After the students file out of the amphitheater with their facilitators, the PE’s and their guests will file out and meet at the Dining Hall for a brief ceremony with Marge.

There is no charge for Rotarians and their guests for this event. Only one member of a group or family needs to register.  During registration, you will be asked to identify if you are a president-elect, how many will be attending the dinner, and how many will be attending the ceremony.
