 GE April 8\, District Training Assembly Once each year we come together to
  share best practices and welcome new club board members and officers to t
 heir roles.  It’s coming up fast: join us April 8 between 8:00 AM and 1
 2:30 PM for our District Assembly\, University of Southern Maine\, 96 Falm
 outh Street\, Portland.  Here are some W’s: Who should come?  Everyone
 !  This event is open to all District 7780 Rotary members.  At only $25\
 , it’s a bargain of fellowship and learning.  If you’re new to Rotary
 \, or if you’re a veteran who wants to keep learning\, join us!  If you
  are a club President\, President-Elect\, Club Secretary\, Club Treasurer\
 , Foundation chair\, club protection officer\, webmaster\, communication t
 eam member\, Facebook guru – it’s for you!   Community service\, int
 ernational service\, youth and all other areas of Rotary service will be s
 howcased. What will it be like? Breakfast begins at eight\, meet and greet
  fellow Rotarians from our forty clubs.  The gavel is at 8:45\, and after
  the traditional club roll-call and a few surprises\, we will move into fi
 ve different break-out sessions in each of three time blocks through the m
 orning.  In all\, fifteen different sessions – so bring some of your cl
 ub colleagues\, because you won’t be able to go to everything!  We will
  wrap by 12:30 and you can head home\, or join friends for an optional “
 on your own” lunch at Easy Day (bowling too!). Fifteen sessions --What a
 re they? President-Elect\, Secretary and Treasurer “best practices” se
 ssions.  We’ll have a Foundation meeting with our district team\, to ma
 ke sure you’re tuned up and ready to file for grants and support The Rot
 ary Foundation in its 100th year.  Look for an “Ideabank” of Internat
 ional projects\, fundraising and community project workshops.  There will
  be training for Club Protection Officers\, a session on how to get better
  media coverage for your club – those are a few of our planned meetings 
 that morning. Sounds like a busy Saturday morning! Yes\, plan to learn som
 ething and share something: fellowship and fun with Rotarians from Boothba
 y Harbor to Fryeburg to Hampton and all points in between.  We hope all f
 orty of our clubs will be represented – there’s no limit to the number

 age.  From Brighton Ave. At the Law School (on your right)\, bear left ont
 o Bedford St. then turn right onto Surrenden St. to enter the garage (just

 arking at USM's Abromson Center The Portland Parking Garage is one of the 
 best places to park on the Portland campus.  Entrance and exit gates are 
 open for free parking and no tickets are dispensed.   Upon entry into the
  garage\, you will be prompted to press a button\, which will raise the ga
 te for you to enter the garage. Entrance into the garage is on Surrenden S
 t.   To exit the garage\, approach the exit gates slowly. They will autom
 atically open for you.   Parking at USM's Abromson Center The Portland Pa
 rking Garage is one of the best places to park on the Portland campus.  E
