District Governor’s Message   Welcome to a New Rotary Year — Let’s Unite for Good!   By: Emma Bodwell, Bridgton-Lake Region RC   Dear Rotarians and friends,   As I begin my year as District Governor, I want to say what an honor it is to serve District 7780.   A bit about me: I’m a proud member of the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club since 1998. Over the years, I’ve been deeply involved as Club Treasurer, Club International Chair, and a two-time Club President. Since 2017, I have also served as District International Service Committee Chair (DISC). That role opened my eyes to the international reach of Rotary.   I’ve been fortunate to travel several times to the Dominican Republic on a Rotary/Interact project, and most recently to Colombia. I have seen firsthand the power of Rotary to bring positive change locally and globally. Read more... Epic Day of Service / Day of Caring   By: Peggy Belanger, PDG 2020-2021, Day of Caring Coordinator   Yes it was an epic day of service and caring in District 7780, Southern Me/Coastal NH.  Some of our epic accomplishments:   (27) Clubs participated out of (39) in our District    Services included: Community Meals, Many Neighborhood, Park, Trail, Beach and Highway Clean-Ups; Housing/Home Improvement Projects; Hosting a Bike Rodeo; Veterans Community Center; Bee Pollinator Garden; SpringFest; and the Grand Opening of a new Community Splash Pad. Free Mental Health First Aid Training Offered to 7780 Rotarians    Portland Rotary will host a two-part FREE Mental Health First Aid Training led by Sweetser, the mental health services company. The training will be held in two sessions, Wednesday, July 9 and Thursday, July 10 from 8:30-12:30 in Portland. This training is open to all Rotarians in 7780.
