This year I am celebrating my 33 years as a Rotarian. When I joined the Indialantic, Florida, Rotary Club I didn’t aspire to become a District Governor. That came much later in my Rotary journey.
Over the years I have visited 250 clubs. Whenever Harry and I travel we try to visit a Rotary Club and sometimes have an opportunity to participate in a project or special event.
Although club cultures and procedures are different, there is a commonality: we are recipients of a warm welcome when we visit a club.
Visiting clubs is just one way to enhance your Rotary experience…even if that club is within 10 minutes of your home club. It’s just another way to broaden your Rotary experience.
I am looking forward to working with all our 39 clubs in district 7780. This includes club projects, programs, and fundraisers. This gives me a chance to share your successes and learn how you are Creating Hope in The World and your Communities.
Enjoy your journey and have fun.
Marion Cheney
District Governor 7780
