Now more than ever, the help of Rotary Clubs is needed to support teachers and schools to get students' school supplies by end of September for the upcoming school year. All members of District 7780 will have a hands-on opportunity to help out at Ruth's Reusable Resources (www.ruths.org) in Portland on September 17, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We will work in two shifts:

First Shift from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m., arrival from 8:45 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Second Shift from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., arrival from 11:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Tasks are as follows:

- taking carts out to the cars with the teachers, or if its raining, back and forth to the loading dock

- bringing carts back to the teacher store

- possibly passing the items out the loading dock door

- restocking the popular items in the teacher store

- helping at checkout or sign in

- stocking in the warehouse (for people with muscles!)

- depending on the weather and if it is really busy, I may be checking teachers outside

- making boxes for checkout

The day will be very busy because the school year has started, and teachers will shop for the supplies they need to help their students succeed.
