Six District clubs are part of an international group that has joined together through a Rotary Foundation matching grant provide a well, toilet block and box culvert (for year round road access) in Fulani Doka Mai Jama'a, a small village in Kaduna State, Nigeria.

Rotarians throughout the District visited the village as part of the District-wide polio immunization trip led by then governor Ann Lee Hussey in November 2011, and met the villagers and played games and sang songs with the children whose lives will be improved by this sanitation project.
The six clubs and their financial contributions to the grant are:

RC Casco Bay Sunrise $1017
RC Fryeburg $500
RC Boothbay Harbor $500
RC Hampton $3000
RC Exeter $3000
RC Saco Bay $5600

Additionally, the District provided $5000 in "District Designated Funds" for this grant.  These monies are made possible by previous gifts to the Rotary Foundation from Rotarians throughout the District.
