DISC has jumped into the new Rotary year with an updated International Café schedule, an Outreach Journey well into the planning stages, and an ongoing offer to speak at club meetings.
The first International Café of the Rotary year will be on Saturday, August 17, 9:30-11:00. The Committee has decided to host six over the course of the year, not eight. They will be tied to the Rotary Monthly themes as much as possible. Future dates include: October 12th and December 7th, 2024 and February 1st, March 29th and May 24th, 2025.
DISC meets on Thursdays at 2:00 pm via Zoom every 6 weeks. Check the District Calendar but scheduled dates are: August 8th, September 19th, October 31st and December 12th, 2024 and January 23rd, March 6th, April 17th and May 29th, 2025. We are always seeking new members.
The Committee is working to obtain funding for an Outreach Trip to the Philippines, which would likely take place in March/April timeframe in 2025. Application information will go to clubs in August or September. If you are interested, keep an eye open for more details to come soon.
A goal of DISC is to include agendas, minutes, international café presenters and themes, and other information about DISC and its functions on the district website.
We will be reaching out to all new Club Presidents with information about DISC and offering to provide presentations at club meetings.
