From Your District Governor – August is Membership Month!

I hope the Rotary year is off to a great start for you and your club! I’ve loved seeing all the early momentum, whether it’s new member inductions, service projects, or creative meeting formats. Keep sharing what you’re doing — I truly believe we inspire each other when we tell our stories.
August is Membership & New Club Development Month — and that’s more than just a line on the Rotary calendar. It’s a great reminder that membership isn’t about numbers — it’s about people.
Belonging, connection, purpose, fun — that’s what keeps us coming back week after week, year after year. So this month, I encourage you to take a look around your club and ask:
Are we making space for people to bring their whole selves?
Are we welcoming in new energy and new ideas?
Are we supporting each other — not just as Rotarians, but as people?
We grow Rotary when people feel like they matter.
Also this month… I’m hitting the road! I’ll be starting my official club visits in August, and I can’t wait. Connecting with all of you — hearing about your wins, your challenges, your impact — is truly the best part of this role. I’m honored to be on this journey with you.
