Charles “Charlie” Bourdages
August 9, 1964 – July 4, 2025
A longtime Portsmouth Rotarian, Charlie was one of its most stalwart and colorful members. Charlie Bourdages, 60, passed away, a victim of prostate cancer.
Charlie was one of the club’s go-to people for hands-on projects, never flinching from an assignment. His sectarian inspirational messages at lunch time were often poignant and always spot-on. A man who lived his dreams, no matter how crazy they might be, Charlie rode his moped all the way to Florida just a few years ago. He was the founder of Portsmouth High’s Bicycle Club. Charlie never complained about his illness and his Celebration of Life on July 14 drew more than a thousand people to North Hampton’s Throwback Brewery.
