Jason Beever
August 27, 1964 - July 10, 2025
Westbrook-Gorham Rotary Club

Jason Beever, a fourth generation Gorham businessman and fourth generation Rotarian of the Westbrook-Gorham Club, passed away on July 10, 2025, just a little shy of his 61st birthday. He had been living with a very aggressive type of frontal lobe dementia for a few years.

A 1984 graduate of Gorham (ME) High School, Jason served honorably as a paratrooper in the 4/325 Airborne Battalion Combat Team in Vicenza, Italy, from 1984 to 1987. His service included a winter as a downhill ski and winter survival instructor. After returning home, he earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine in 1992.

Following the completion of his studies, Jason became the fourth generation of his family to lead the C.E. Carll Insurance Agency, named after his great-grandfather. A respected professional, he served as President of the Maine Independent Insurance Agents Association and also served as the President of the Westbrook-Gorham Rotary Club—the only person to have held the office twice in the 95 years of the club at that time. He also served for many years on the board of the Gorham Business & Civic Exchange, and was named their Business Person of the year in 2008.

Jason was an avid outdoorsman – hunting, fishing, skiing, boating, snowmobiling, golfing. He was a member of many conservation and sporting organizations throughout his life. In 2015, he retired to his family farmhouse in Eustis, ME, where he loved to garden.

Jason was a Rotarian for over 20 years, a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, and had named the Rotary Foundation in his will.  He is survived by his wife Linda, two children and two grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, his family requested donations to Westbrook-Gorham Rotary Club Charities.  We are very grateful for their generosity in their time of loss.
