The Foundation’s focus for March is Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). Rotary is full of acronyms—helpful once you know them, but sometimes a barrier for those who don’t. Another common one is RAG, which stands for Rotary Action Group. Put them together and WASH‑RAG refers to the Rotary Action Group dedicated specifically to water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Rotary Action Groups are independent, Rotary‑affiliated groups of Rotarians, spouses, Rotaractors, and subject‑matter experts who share a passion for a particular area of focus—peace, literacy, addiction, water, and more. They provide technical expertise and project support to clubs working on grants in their specialty areas.

Many District 7780 clubs have supported clean‑water initiatives locally and globally. Access to clean water reduces conflict, improves health, strengthens food security, and directly benefits women and children. It is deeply connected to Rotary’s mission of building peace and understanding.
