On Oct. 24, Rotary observes both World Polio Day and the birthday of Dr. Jonas Salk, who developed the world's first safe and effective vaccine against this crippling and sometimes deadly disease. And during that week, we also celebrate the fact that the world is on the verge of eradicating this disease, thanks to the work of Rotary and its partners. During the week of 24-28 October, Rotarians will receive 2-for-1 recognition for every contribution of US$100 or more made to PolioPlus at www.rotary.org/contribute.

Because a high volume of online traffic is anticipated with this promotion, please allow four to six weeks for the promotional recognition to appear in your account, and before requesting recognition materials.

Online contributions cannot be made on behalf of another individual, club, or district. Double recognition cannot be used to designate others as Paul Harris Fellows.
