With great pleasure, I’m sharing a message I received recently from Mateo Karczmarczuk, Lublin Centrum RC, Poland. It has been an honor to work with Mateo from the early days of this Disaster Relief Grant, throughout the work at the Shelter and during the Outreach trip to Poland in 2024.
“Good morning.
I would like to share with you the success we have achieved together. Yesterday, a gala was held in Lublin summarizing the next edition of the public competition called "Crystal Brick" for the most attractive (based on beauty and usefulness) architectural object in recent years. The competition is organized by administrative authorities and associations of architects and engineers. The special "Crystal Brick" award went to the Rotarian "Peace Shelter" in Bryukhovichi near Lviv in Ukraine, which we built together with Rotarians from the USA and Europe.🤝 There is a part of your heart and your effort there. This is a great promotion of Rotary in the public space! Thank you very much🙏 to everyone who took part in this project.

This is another achievement and acknowledgement of which we in the District can be proud.
