ShareForever 7780 Campaign Update - February 2025

Sarah MacGillivray, District ShareForever Committee PR, Bath Sunrise RC

The Magic of Rotary is the theme for our current Rotary year, and it seems to fit our ShareForever 7780 Campaign as well. What Rotarians have done in our district is just MAGICAL! It all started with one couple’s generous donation and has grown into $4 million dollars in bequests and donations to our Rotary Foundation.

Many of the bequests, benefactors and other gifts have been earmarked for Endowment Fund SHARE (EF-SHARE).  The yearly endowment earnings will perpetually add DDF funds for our district grants, global grants and District 7780 directed programs. Others have chosen to direct their gifts to Rotary Peace Centers, or one of the seven areas of focus:

Peacebuilding and conflict prevention; Disease prevention and treatment; Water, sanitation, and hygiene; Maternal and child health; Basic education and literacy; Community economic development; Protecting the environment.  Your hard-earned dollars can be put to work as you wish.  The impact will be felt in our communities and around the world.

Thank you to those who have reached out with questions.  We have members of our committee who have visited clubs, hosted fire-side chats, asked and answered questions.  There is still time for you to make your donation and be a part of the MAGIC!

It is time to Celebrate the Magic of Rotary!  All District 7780 Rotarians who have given $10,000 or more to any Rotary Endowment (cash or legacy gift) between July 1, 2023 and February 28, 2025 will be invited to our special ShareForever Celebration of Magic, March 30, 2025 in Rye NH.  We will enjoy a tasty brunch, good fellowship, and celebrate all our generous donors.

We are excited to announce that our guest speaker for the event is Bryn Styles, Past Rotary International Director.  He joined the Rotary Club of Barrie Huronia, Ontario, Canada in 1986, and served as club president in 1994-95.  In April of 2000, Bryn served as GSE Team Leader to Australia.  He then stepped into serving at the district level and from 2001-03 served as Assistant Governor for D7010, followed immediately by serving as the District Governor during the Rotary Centennial year of 2004-05.  In addition, he was the District Foundation Chair from 2007-2010.  During this time he jumped into serving at the Zone level, and finally serving as RI director from 2012-14.  For his full bio, please click here:  Bryn Styles bio
