Great response, 165 registrations! At this point, we have to announce that our Saturday, Oct. 17 District Foundation Celebration is Sold Out! We exceeded our goal of 150, and Port City Air does have building code restrictions.
We started with the first ever DIstrict-Wide 7780 Foundation Grant of $4000 for the purpose of providing companion dogs to veterans. Thanks to the generosity of both clubs and individuals, we have raised over $30,000! Each dog has been trained for over a year, and the cost per dog is $6500. We are real close to five dogs! This is life-changing. Our partner, Hero Pups of Stratham,NH has a waiting list of 80+ veterans. These dogs are proven to make a difference. It works.
Yes, we are still most definitely taking donations, so if your club is so inclined, there are forms below to help, and you can always talk with Aileen Dugan or Tom Talbott. The grant will stay open past this Saturday Oct 17th.
If you purchased a ticket(s) you're all set for a great show. If you did but for whatever reason now can not make it, let Aileen or Tom know, because there others who would jump in.
