The District Vision Facilitation/Planning committee is planning a workshop for already-visioned clubs which will be held Thursday, September 26, at DiMillo's Restaurant in Portland.  Rotarians from visioned clubs as well as District leaders and District facilitators are encouraged to attend. This is District 7780's third in a series of workshops to help visioned clubs develop and execute long-term planning, and Rotarians who have attended previously will tell  you how critical this meeting can be!  The format is an exchange of ideas forum to help club members evaluate the goals set forth in the visioning process.

To date,  27 out of 39 District clubs that have gone through the Visioning process.   At the last workshop, 33 Rotarians participated in an open format discussion that focused on clearing away the obstacles that they have encountered with long-term planning. At the upcoming meeting, the District Visioning Committee will present best practice specifics. We will discuss these and thenb work on best practices in communications in a breakout format. The topics of the breakout sessions will be:

·         Communicating with and involving club leadership in strategic planning (visioning).

·         The best ways to keep membership informed

·         The best ways to keep membership involved in visioning and excited about the clubs future plans

Following the presentation of each breakout sessions’ results we will discuss the topic as a group. In the time remaining we will ask the question “have we, as a group, covered all vision-two-plan concerns?”

The $12 registration fee covers heavy appetizers, materials and venue expense.  The social gathering starts at 5:00 p.m. with a cash bar; the meeting will start promptly at 6:00 and end no later than 8:00 p.m. It will take place at DiMillo's, on the Portland Waterfront accessed from Commercial Street, in the Old Port,  207-772-2216.
