Remembering Sheila Rollins
PDG Sheila Rollins was a woman of many talents who generously gave of her whole self. This ‘woman of action’ was a pilot and flight instructor, a restaurant owner and a gourmet chef, as well as a mental health counselor.
Sheila ran for the Maine House of Representatives and although she was unsuccessful with her bid, she claimed that this was a ‘good thing’ because she found Rotary as she campaigned. She joined Rotary in 2006. She served as president of Bridgton Lake Region Rotary Club in 2008-2009. She became District 7780 Governor in 2015. One of her initiatives as Governor was exposing human trafficking in our District.
Sheila’s love of the four-footed creatures kept her busy with her three dogs, four cats and one goat. Her husband Merrill, also a Rotarian, shared a home with Sheila at Scribner’s Mills in Harrison, Maine.
Sheila is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and an avid supporter of The Rotary Foundation. To contribute to a commemorative Rotary fundraiser to benefit the Rotary Foundation, go to https://raise.rotary.org/frostyc/memorial
