With your giving, you can support one or more of these Funds:

Annual Fund

Each gift to the Annual Fund helps Rotary clubs take action to create positive change in communities at home and around the world. Contributions to the Annual Fund are transformed into grants that fund local and international humanitarian projects, scholarships, and activities, such as vocational training teams.  Each year, our District receives a block grant of one-half previous giving to support the humanitarian projects that our clubs choose.  The other half is used by the Rotary Foundation in the World Fund to “match” our club’s Global Grant projects as well as those projects led by other clubs and Districts around the world.

Polio Plus

Rotary, along with our partners, has reduced polio cases by 99 percent worldwide since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. Rotarians have helped immunize more than 2 billion children against polio in 122 countries. We are close to eradicating polio, but until the job is finished worldwide, children everywhere remain at risk – and polio eradication will remain Rotary’s primary humanitarian goal.

World Fund

Gifts to the world fund will be spent where the need is greatest.

Disaster Response Fund

Contributions are made available to clubs and districts through Rotary Disaster Response Grants and cannot be directed to a specific disaster.

Areas of Focus

You may choose to donate directly to one of Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus: The Environment; Disease Prevention & Treatment; Water, Sanitation & Hygiene;  Maternal & Child Health; Basic Education & Literacy; Community Economic Development; and Peace Building & Conflict Prevention. Gifts that are designated for one of Rotary’s areas of focus do not generate District Designated Funds (DDF).

Endowment

Rotary’s Endowment Fund mostly grows through Planned Giving, and funds are invested in perpetuity. A percentage of the total value of the Endowment Fund is spent annually to benefit current and future Foundation grants and programs.  Rotary strives to increase the value of your gift to the Endowment by preserving and investing your initial contribution and spending only a portion of the earnings.

Donate to a specific Global Grant

You can donate directly to a current Global Grant. To take advantage of this option you will need the seven-digit grant number.
