District Governor Marguerite "Peggy" Belanger

Known to RI as Marguerite, but to most Rotarians as Peggy, she has been a proud Rotarian of the RC of Kennebunk Portside for the past 19 years, a Past-President x's 2,  a Past-AG for District 7780 x's 4 years and a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. In addition to being involved in many local, community projects, she has had the privilege of working at the District level as a GSE, Friendship Exchange, Cultural Exchange, and VTT coordinator. This has provided her with multiple opportunities to work with Rotarians & Non-Rotarians from all over the world. Many of her phenomenal Rotary Moments are based on these experiences.

Professionally, Peggy is a Semi-Retired RN working for the last 47 years in various roles as a nurse.  The most impactful has been the last 19 years as an Oncology Nurse. Her world as a Volunteer, in addition to being a Rotary Volunteer, has consisted of Volunteering for the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Advocate, the Maine Cancer Foundation, and Harbour Singers', a non-denominational group of singers providing Music Ministry for those at End-of -Life.

Peggy lives in Saco ME. Her daughter & Son-In-Law live in Raymond ME and son in Eliot ME.  Singing with local choral and church groups, playing golf, spending lots of time with family & friends, and going to the movies and theater are some of the other important aspects of Peggy's life.
