Welcome to the Rotary Club of River Valley
We were chartered March 26, 1925 as the Rotary Club of Rumford, Maine. We were sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lewiston-Auburn, Maine. On April 1, 2011 Rotary International officially accepted our club’s name change to The Rotary Club of River Valley (Greater Rumford Area).
We have had two District Governors from our club, 1950-51 Paul Thurston and 1965-1966 Samuel Low. Tim Placey who was District Governor in 2002-2003 is a member of our club.
We are still researching to find the names of club presidents from 1925 - 1950. They will be added as soon as we can.
