ShareForever 7780 Campaign Update - March 2025

It seems like just yesterday that we started the ShareForever 7780 Campaign. We started with what felt like a lofty goal of raising 1 million dollars in legacy gifts, and now we are thrilled to say that we have more than 4 million dollars! We are truly amazed, but not surprised. The dedication to The Rotary Foundation in our district has always been strong, and we are proud of and thankful for our generous donors.Over 100 years ago, Rotarians came together with the goal to establish a fund that would help Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty. They established The Rotary Foundation (TRF) to secure a better future.
In 1982, TRF created the Endowment to help future generations, provide them with resources to not only develop and fund current projects, but to have the funds to do so year after year. As we have covered in past updates, today, priority Endowments are:
- Basic education and literacy
- Community economic development
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Environment
- Maternal and child health
- Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
- Rotary Peace Centers
- Water, sanitation, and hygiene
- SHARE
- World Fund
Many Rotarians in our district give generously to the Annual Fund which helps fund projects that make people live better lives today, and for that we are so grateful. Remember that your gifts to Rotary’s Endowment support the same life-changing programs, forever. As a reminder, it is time to Celebrate the Magic of Rotary! All District 7780 Rotarians who have given $10,000 or more to any Rotary Endowment (cash or legacy gift) between July 1, 2023 and February 28, 2025 have been invited to our special ShareForever Celebration of Magic, March 30, 2025 in Rye NH. We will enjoy a tasty brunch, good fellowship, and celebrate all of our generous donors. Our guest speaker for the event is Bryn Styles, Past Rotary International Director.
